People are engaging with Trump's promise to give every American $5000 if the Republicans win the midterms as if it were a real thing. Like, the legality of naked bribery aside, some people seriously trying to show how it's an impossible financial promise to keep.
It's true, but I feel like this is missing the main point, which is simply that...it's a lie shrug. Is it really any more complicated than that? He might as well promise everyone a pony.
