Pretty tasty pound cake, not purely traditional. Extract in the glaze tastes fine, though it gives it a brown tinge.
Hard to resist this one, and a delicious way to use up a some apples
This is one of my favourite cakes, partly because it's so deceptively simple. Good with Lemon curd. Even better the next day
This one comes from Nigella Lawson. More cake-y, less bread-y. I've found that's it's actually not that sticky if you bake it for an extra 5 minutes. I've never tried this recipe with golden syrup; I've only used a mixture of corn syrup and honey.
Not as densely sweet as some other gingerbreads. More bready, less cakey. Good with ice cream.
